In addition to Irish Government Emigrant Support Programme and Luton Airport sponsorship, we attracted sponsorship from 33 other local businesses and groups.

“Polonia [Polish group] took part in St. Patrick’s Day Parade organised by Luton Irish Forum in the town centre. It was a great event, full of what we love about Ireland the most: music, dance, fun and friendly faces around... such events tell the true story of Luton.”

Participant

“The Sean O’Riada Mass has to be one of my favourite parts of the St Patrick’s Festival – it reminds us about the true meaning of St Patrick’s Day, celebrating the feast in our native language.”

Luton Irish Forum Choir Coordinator

“Thank you for organising not just Sunday’s parade but also the activities that took place at the forum on
Friday [St Patrick’s day Celebration]. The events showed Irish culture at its best and it was great to see so many other communities share in the occasion. Personally, as an Irishman living in the UK the events gave me immense pride not just of my culture and where I come from but a direct connection to home and memories of taking part in St Patricks Day Parades when I was a boy. The Forum should be very proud of a wonderful weekend and I look forward to next year’s events.”
